Katakanu hire - Big Avon Paddle

Welcome to Bath's ONLY BSUPA (British Stand Up Paddle Association) recognised paddleboarding school.

We are really pleased to offer you the opportunity to hire a 6 seat Katakanu for for the full duration of the the 2026 Big Avon Paddle. For just £180 per craft / £30 per person including buoyancy aids, you can explore this beautiful, unspoilt, stretch of the River Avon while raising much needed funds for Keynsham and District Mencap Society.

As with all of our activities, booking this event will entitle you to an amazing 15% discount off of food and drink on the day at The Boathouse, Bath pub.

​Please note that river safety guidance and rules are on display on site, plus a member of staff will give you a full safety briefing prior to you commencing your adventure.​

You will be provided with a buoyancy aid that MUST be worn at all times throughout your session and it is not to be removed while on the water.

Always remember to Paddle on the RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE RIVER and to respect other river users at all times.

YOU WILL NEED A FULLY FUNCTIONING MOBILE PHONE TO TAKE WITH YOU DURING YOUR ADVENTURE.

IF YOU PARK IN THE PUB CAR PARK, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ENTER YOUR VEHICLE REGISTRATION INSIDE THE PUB UPON ARRIVAL!

1. No previous paddle experience is necessary
2. Under 18's to be accompanied by an adult

4. Towel
5. Camera/phone
