Nomadic Kitesurf

My wife and I are both the wrong side of fifty and had absolutely no water sport experience and a fear of being on or in the water. But we decided, after visiting Calshot in Hampshire to have a go at paddleboarding after watching others having fun on the water.
After a two hour lesson with Paul we were both standing and paddling and completely out of our comfort zone...... but we did it and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so we booked a 3 hour wing surfing lesson. A lot to learn and deal with admittedly, but we got to grips with it and after another 2 hour lesson managed some improvement. We now have our own kit and are enjoying our new found confidence and sense of fun.
Paul is extremely down to earth and approachable, very professional and has top quality equipment. He encourages quick progress and makes you feel at ease. Obviously at the end of the day the onus is on the pupil to take the steps necessary to progress, and Paul is right there to help you. He is  a top bloke and Calshot is a perfect location to learn as it has a very safe lagoon area or the more challenging Solent side.

Review for Kenya 2025 Kitesurf Adventure Trip
This was a trip that I’d wanted to be on for a long time & it didn’t disappoint. Paul’s years of experience of organising trips to this venue showed, with his attention to getting the very best experience for the clients while we were there.
It was an authentic experience in an undeveloped beautiful area, but with all the facilities we needed to make it a true holiday. Accommodation, food and instruction were all spot on.
Optional extras such as the Safari trip and the downwinder with BBQ aboard the boat, together with a tour to see a local village and a special Kenyan dance/singing, all helped make the trip truly memorable along with the great company.

Excellent lesson with Paul at idyllic location. Paul was very friendly (and patient!) but at the same time very technical and focused on details to help me improve. I have had several lessons before and I could develop a lot during my lesson with Paul - with a couple of breakthroughs on areas I was struggling.
Also, the spot Paul picked for us to practice had a great combination of wind strength, space to practice, safety and distance, and amazing scenery.
