    1. You will be shown how to rig a boat
    2. Sail across the wind and upwind
    3. Learn how to tack and gybe
    4. Bring your boat safely ashore
    5. You will cover all necessary theory and ropework
    6. RYA Level 1 certificate on completion


    Basic Skills course content:

    1. Progress with the Five Essentials
    2. Balance, centreboard, sail setting, trim, course made good
    3. Man overboard recovery
    4. More advanced boat handling skills
    5. Improve knowledge of rigging and reefing
