Big Green Adventures

We had the most fantastic experience with Big Green Adventures and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, friendly and professional, making us all feel completely at ease. Our surf instructor, Jackson, was absolutely brilliant. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and had a great way with our children, building their confidence from the very start while making the whole session fun and engaging.

His enthusiasm was infectious, and he struck the perfect balance between keeping everyone safe, teaching great technique and ensuring we all had an amazing time in the water. By the end of the lesson, our kids were standing up on their boards and couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home!

If you’re looking for a family-friendly surf school in Cornwall, Big Green Adventures is the place to go. A huge thank you to Jackson for creating such special memories for our family—we’ll definitely be back on our next visit.

Second lesson I've had at Big Green Adventures - great lesson with Taylor coaching us as a small group of 4. Taylor and the other staff were really friendly, helpful and made the lesson fun. Conditions again at Crantock beach were perfect for learning with consistent easy waves to catch. Nice one - see you another time!

My friend and I took two surfing lessons and a kayaking trip with Big Green Adventures in June 2026. They were all excellent. Ruby's surfing instruction was clear and thorough, and I was able to stand up on the board for a few seconds at a time after the two lessons, despite never having surfed before and the conditions being pretty wild. Dale led our kayaking trip, giving us a fun tour of the Gannel estuary. He was also very responsive and flexible when adverse weather conditions meant we had to change bookings around at the last minute. The equipment to borrow (wetsuits etc.) was good quality, too. Highly recommended!
