Description
Come learn all about the fascinating world of mushroom identification!
Note: this is a private activity, please see my other listings to join in set-date group activities. Date and location are variable, date can be requested through here (I work fri-sun when not running group activities) by selecting attendees and time and then clicking 'Request a time' - but please reach out for any questions through my website too, as a private event can be made totally suited to your needs.
You'll spend a few hours with Marina, your knowledgeable guide, exploring the local landscape at our awesome venue and learning how to find and identify different types of autumnal wild food.
Along the way, you'll gain insight into their habitats, seasons, and typical features, learn how to use books, and how to go about data collection for identification on your own.
You'll also learn about foraging best practices, laws, lookalikes, methods of preparation, uses, and perhaps some folklore or history too.
There will be a wild food taster to show you a bit about how easy and fun (or hard) wild food can be!
Location: This will vary.
Accessibility: This activity is not strenuous as mushroom spotting is a slow-paced activity, though there will likely be mud and the typical forest terrain to navigate.
Other: Well behaved dogs on leads are okay.
