Abseiling and Ladders

  • abseiling

  • 2 hrs 30 mins

  • Max 12 people

Whether you're conquering your fear or love a thrill, abseiling is a perfect all-age and all-ability activity!

Highlights

  • Step backwards from Sannox’s ancient sea cliffs and abseil to the bottom
  • Climb the rope ladder as high as you fancy
  • Let go and be flown back down to the ground

Description

We use the beautiful blue rocks at Sannox for our abseiling and ladders - ancient sea cliffs set well back from the shore. Challenge yourself to step backwards off the cliff and abseil down to the bottom - go at your own speed, and remember, we've always got you secure! For our rope ladder, you start at the bottom, and climb up as high as you fancy, before letting go, and being flown back down to the ground!

This activity is not suitable for children who are younger than eight years of age. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants should have a vehicle which they are happy to use to transport themselves to and from the activity.

Meet at Sannox stepping stones Car Park.

What to bring

Update: 2026 September. I’m still rating this 5* based on hostel accommodation comparison. Nothing wrong with that, it just feels more hostel than regular B&B. This centre is predominantly an outdoor activity centre ...
