Guided Bike Ride

Description

Enjoy a breathtaking guided adventure ride through the Elan Valley Estate.

To start, you will be welcomed by your guide at the Bike Hub, located at the Visitors Centre, where you’ll confirm kit, safety checks and an explanation of route by our qualified guide.

Quiet lanes through the village of Elan, lead onto bridleways which take you high above and around Caban Coch reservoir, where you’ll experience wonderful views of the Claerwen and Elan valleys. Your guide will lead you along the grassy ridge above the reservoir, eventually dropping down to cross a succession of small streams and moorland. Another steep ascent prior to a long, technical old school descent, eventually lead to an added optional challenge of the Elan Valley Down Hill track.

Your guide will enhance your knowledge, skills and techniques if required throughout this 3-hour trip. This guided ride is aimed at MTB riders with some experience and a good level of fitness, who want a proper adventure.

Spectacular scenery of the Elan Valley better than expected. Inside the visitor's centre there is a gift shop, toilets and a café so it is possible to relax and unwind, whilst admiring the view.
