Double Kayak Hire

Minimum age 8 years old. (NO Exceptions will be made)

All under 18's must be accompanied on the water by an adult.

Only 1 under 12 years old is permitted per double kayak.

Hiring a Double sit on top kayak is one the easiest ways to enjoy the sights and sounds of arguably one of the most beautiful rivers in Hampshire, the Hamble River. Sat low to the waters surface you can gently meander along, exploring the river and all it has to offer.

At The Paddle Centre we have a great range of strong and durable kayaks. If you have not paddled before then not to worry, paddling a kayak is very simple and quite intuitive.

Kayaking is very easy to start and enjoy but if you would like some guidance, then take a look at our Kayak Taster Lesson or why not complete one of our British Canoeing courses?

During your hire you will be able to paddle from our location within Premier Marinas Swanwick on the Hamble River. You will be able to choose to make your way towards the neighbouring Universal Marina or why not explore the stunning upper reaches of the river. We will be able to advise which is the best route to travel based on your ability, experience and the tidal conditions.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your booked hire time as this will allow you to, sign in, get changed and watch our induction video.

You will receive a brief overview of the equipment and technique on land outside The Paddle Centre before collecting your equipment and walking it down to the waters edge.

Come back to The Paddle Centre, return your equipment, sign in and grab a cold drink..

1. Suitable clothes for weather conditions.
2. Change of clothes
3. Towel
4. Mobile phone - advised to take on water in a dry bag.
5. Deposit Item (Bank card, Car Keys etc).
6. Money for an after paddle drink.
