    Description

Knighton Woodland Tots is a funded community based Forest School playgroup aimed at 18 months + but suitable for all who enjoy the outdoors! We pride our group on creating a friendly and open space for adults and children to come together and share experiences and time spent outdoors. (Babies are very welcome too, please drop us a message for more information.)

Knighton Woodland Tots aim to promote a love of the natural world in our little people during our weekly sessions, while providing an open and friendly space for parents and carers to meet. Our sessions are run by qualified Forest School Leaders and a team of skilled and experienced volunteers who ensure that our weekly activities engage little ones and allow them to flourish through hands-on creative activities, while exploring the natural environment and developing their sense of 'self' and self-confidence, also introducing healthy risk taking activities which is a crucial part of a child's development. The running of our regular sessions consist of:

    -Morning circle

    -Regular play stations

-Adult-led craft activities relating to the season

    -Campfire

    -Fresh snack

    -Story

    -Group games

    -Music and parachute

Children will be encouraged to partake in the group activities, but the Forest School principles will always be maintained with child-led play being at the heart. Therefore plenty of play stations will be set up which include:

    -Mud kitchen

    -Mini worlds

    -Hammock

    -Story corner

    -Water play

    -Mini beast hunting

We look forward to exploring, creating and playing with you!
