Embark on an empowering three-day Sea Kayak Coaching Camp with Otter Adventures, designed for women who are ready to push their kayaking limits in a stunning, serene setting. Nestled in the breathtaking locale of Arisaig this exclusive camp provides a unique opportunity to explore the secluded coastline between Mallaig and Glenuig, under the expert guidance of Cathy, a seasoned coach who has worked with us previously.

Our second camp this season is based in Arisaig from 17th to 20th August and is for intermediate to advanced paddlers.

Requirements

Previous experience of sea kayaking, including some open tidal water and windy paddling conditions, is essential if you are to get the most from this course. If you are unsure that you have enough experience, please get in touch with us first.

What to bring

As well as making your own arrangements for camping at Tigh-na-mara and food/cooking, please bring your own kayaking equipment with you.

As a minimum, you must have:

  1. closed cockpit sea kayak (14ft or longer)
  2. spraydeck
  3. buoyancy aid (minimum 50N, CE marked and less than 5 years old)
  4. sea kayak paddle
  5. helmet
  6. appropriate outer clothing for sea kayaking (drysuit or two-piece combination preferable to wetsuits)

Itinerary

Exact plans will remain flexible to suit the group and the weather, but Cathy will negotiate with you throughout so that it builds upon your current expereince base and your aspirations.
