Requirements
It is essential that you have some experience of cycling off-road, even it that is limited to fire roads and forest trails. You also need a reasonable level of fitness as you will be fairly active for three days.
As it is aimed at beginner to intermediate level off-road riders, expect to be on groomed blue trails to start with before potentially progressing as far as red natural trails. If you are unsure of what this means or would liket o discuss it further, please do email or call.
What to bring
As well as a positive attitude to your development, you also need to bring the following:
- Your own mountain bike with (minimum) front suspension
- Correctly fitting CE approved helmet
- Gloves suitable for cycling
- Appropriate riding clothing (no jeans or baggy trousers)
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Knee protectors are strongly recommended while elbow protectors are optional
- Backpack to carry your personal items
- Your own food and drinks
- Personal medication / plasters
Itinerary
The three days have no fixed itinerary. They are tailored to the needs of the group, their abilities and aspirations. It will be a progressive course with each day building on the previous days learning and development.

- Body positioning
- Bike / body separation
- Effective braking
- Cornering (flat and berms)
- Trail reading
- Riding rollers, rocks and roots
- Getting your wheels of the ground
