Canoeing Trip - River Hamble

Woodmill Outdoor Centre are running a canoe touring trip along the River Hamble. The river Hamble has a vast variety of wildlife from birds to fish. You might even spot a seal if you are lucky.

We will set off up the River Hamble with the intention of stopping at the top of the River by the Horse And Jockey Pub for a spot of lunch.

This trip is aimed at anyone that has done a bit of canoeing before, and aspiring to develop. If you are unsure please ask one of the Woodmill team. This includes all equipment required, including wetsuits, boats, paddles and safety equipment will be provided.

This trip is suitable for paddlers of all abilities, however, we would recommend that participants are water confident and are of a reasonable level of fitness.

This trip is suitable for beginners who are happy to paddle for up to 4 hours. Children 8 years plus are welcome, but those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We provide all the equipment to take part, however we do require you to bring the following;

1. A full change of clothes
2. Towel
3. Spare pair of shoes
4. Water Bottle
5. Lunch Box
6. Suncream (if worn)
7. Hat/Gloves/Scarf (weather dependant
8. Waterproof coat
9. Cash if you want to purchase anything from the pub, or the ice cream van
