A Day of Adventure! Abseil and Climbing in the Lake District

Adventure Outside invites you to join them for a full day of adventure.
First we head to the breath taking Hodge Close Quarry to tackle one of the biggest abseils in the Lake District.
Under the watchfull eyes of our expert climbing instructor you will descend 40 metres into the depths of Hodge lose quarry. Our qualified and experienced instructors will ensure you are well fitted into your harness and helmet, before teaching you everything you need to know to descend smoothly and safely down the wall. All the while keeping you 100% safe on a backup line.
Once you have completed your abseil you will have chance to explore one of the most unique locations in the area, before heading back to your start location. Numbers dependent, there may even be chance for a second abseil aswell!

After lunch we will head to our rock climbing venue. The Lake District is famous around the world for its incredible rock climbing.
Our exact location for this will depend on conditions on the day. The location will be likely to be at Hodge Close or the Langdale valley, which is around a 20-30 minute drive.
Once you arrive at your rock climbing destination your expert instructor will ensure you have all the information you need to make the most of your rock climbing afternoon. We will always ensure we pick a destination that caters to all confidence levels and abilities. The style of climbing you will take part in is called Top Roping. This method guarantees that you are completely safe and and can concentrate on enjoying yourselves and improving your rock skills!

This event is subject to a minimum participant number. If the event has not reached the minimum numbers by 1 week before hand you will be notified and given a full refund or alternative date.
In the unlikely event that Adventure Outside feel the need to cancel this event due to weather conditions then a full refund or alternative date will be issued. If the event is cancelled part way through the day due to changing weather no refund will be given.
