Sup the Outer Hebrides

Description

Isle of Barra 2027

The Isle of Barra, a stunning Outer Hebridean island, spans from Neolithic times through Viking domination to centuries of rule by the seafaring Clan MacNeil. Known as the "island of bishops" and named after St. Barr, it is famously characterized by its 15th-century Kisimul Castle, a history of piracy, the Highland Clearances, and its unique beach airports!

The Isles of Barra and Vatersay are the most Southerly inhabited islands in the Outer Hebrides and the most Westerly in the U.K. Beautiful, white, sandy beaches, rolling green hills and carribean esque waters!

This 6 day 5 night trip is going to be phenomenal! Paddle destinations Tangasdale beach, Kisimul Castle, Ardveenish and Vatersay as well as three guided tours from a local sea kayak guide. If possible we are heading out to Mingulay island and Barra head to paddle some stunning caves and archways!

Had such a good time with Emma on Montrose basin. She was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and taught me new paddle boarding skills!
