5 days of paddling the Great Glen Sup Trail
Great Glen Unsupported 5 day expedition
Total Cost of this trip -£700 per person. £100 non refundable deposit to secure your place on the trip. Final payment must be made at least 6 weeks prior to event. This will be arranged in group chat and paid via BACS transfer.
Meeting at Neptunes Staircase (Fort William) for 9.30am on the first day, from here we will pack up our kit into dry bags and set off on the 64 mile journey towards Inverness passing through breath taking scenery across the Canals and Lochs of the Great Glen Sup Trail.
Soaking in the stunning views of Ben Nevis from Loch Lochy, the mystical and scenic Loch Oich and the humongous and monsterous Loch Ness, which holds as much water as all the lakes and rivers in England and Wales combined.

Due to the ever changeable nature of weather (winds) in the Glen, we will aim for 15-20km a day of paddling but this maybe shortened or lengthened depending on conditions. This is a full expedition with no support. Customers should be comfortable paddling this distance before taking on this challenge. Full coaching and guiding will be done throughout the trip.
On our final day a taxi will be organised to take us back to Neptunes Staircase.
Your safety is always our primary concern, we use a 1:6 ratio. Our trip leaders are highly qualified SUP Expedition Guides with advanced first aid qualifications. Our guides are some of the most experienced sup guides in Scotland, operating in multiple locations across Scotland all year round!
What’s included?
Boards -We use top quality 14 X 30 MCCONKS Expedition boards, Quick release waist leashes, Carbon 2 piece paddle, PDF and coiled leash.
Food -We provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals while out on expedition. These are in the form of expedition style porridge packs and rehydrated expedition foods. Meals are supplied on the basis of your dietary requirements filled out on questionnaire at the booking stage. We use Real Turmac expedition foods for evening meals and a combination of dehydrated expedition foods for lunches. We supply a group stoves for cooking.
We carry 20 litres of water at a time and have the ability to purify up to 10 litres of water with our purification system. (Not chlorine tablets).
Camping -As well as spectacular wild camping sites, we also provide tents, thermarest style air bed and dry bags to carry all this plus your own kit. All you need to bring is your own personal paddling gear, clothing and a 2/3 season sleeping bag.
A kit list will be sent out to you.
We don’t supply wetsuits, drysuits or split Cag/trousers.
For all our trips we set up a WhatsApp Group chat, this will let you get to know who else is on your trip, ask questions to your guide and liaise with travel plans!
Guide -Expert guide, fully equipped with VHF radio, Garmin Inreach GPS, full first aid and emergency equipment.
We are happy for you to bring your own SUP but it must have the ability to carry all equipment with front and back loading capabilities and be suitable to four days touring!
