Great Glen Unsupported 5 day expedition

Total Cost of this trip -£650 per person. £100 non refundable deposit to secure your place on the trip. Final payment must be made at least 6 weeks prior to event.

Meeting at Neptunes Staircase (Fort William) for 9.30am on the first day, from here we will pack up our kit into dry bags and set off on the 64 mile journey to Inverness passing through breath taking scenery across the Canals and Lochs of the Great Glen Sup Trail.

Soaking in the stunning views of Ben Nevis from Loch Lochy, the mystical and scenic Loch Oich and the humongous Loch Ness, which holds as much water as all the lakes and rivers in England and Wales combined. Camping under the stars in Hammocks and eating alfresco is all part of the fun.

Due to the ever changeable nature of weather (winds) in the Glen, we will aim for 15-20km a day of paddling but this maybe shortened or lengthened depending on conditions. This is a full expedition with no support. Customers should be comfortable paddling this distance before taking on this challenge. Full coaching and guiding will be done throughout the trip.

On our final day Sup2summit will organise a taxi to take us back to Neptunes Staircase.

Your safety is always our primary concern, we use a 1:4 ratio. Our trip leaders are highly qualified SUP Expedition Guides with advanced first aid qualifications. Our guides are some of the most experienced sup guides in Scotland, operating in multiple locations across Scotland all year round!

    What’s included?

Boards - We use top quality 14 X 31 MCCONKS Go Further boards, Quick release waist leashes, Carbon 2 piece paddle, PDF and coiled leash.

Food - We provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals while out on expedition. These are in the form of expedition style porridge packs and rehydrated expedition foods. A list will be sent out for your choice of meals. We use Real Turmac expedition foods. There will be a chance to stop at some of the restaurants and pubs along the Glen, this will be at your own cost.

We supply a group cooking kitchen.

Camping - We use MSR 1 man tents, thermarest style air bed and dry bags to carry all this plus your own kit. All you need to bring is your own personal paddling gear, clothing and a 2/3 season sleeping bag. A kit list will be sent out to you.

For all our trips we set up a WhatsApp Group chat, this will let you get to know who else is on your trip, ask questions to your guide and liaise with travel plans!

Guide - Expert guide, fully equipped with VHF radio, Garmin Inreach GPS, full first aid and emergency equipment

We are happy for you to bring your own SUP but it must have the ability to carry all equipment with front and back loading capabilities and be suitable to four days touring!

We will contact you to arrange Final Payment via BACS transfer. At this time we will also set up a group chat on WhatsApp, so you can ask questions, get to know your team and receive more information about trip.

This package is available to single participants .

No minimum booking however this expedition needs a minimum of 2 participants for it to go ahead.

Did the beginner SUP course with Beth. She was lovely, very helpful and patient! Was well worth the money. We had a great time as a family and are keen to give it a go again!
