Hire a windsurf

Description

Rig up to 4.5m and a large beginner board with a daggerboard


Please read the following information before booking your hire equipment.

  1. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must stay on site during the duration of the hire session
  2. Under 16’s must be supervised by a responsible adult who must always stay on the shore side (In sight of participant)
  3. Under 8’s must be supervised by a responsible adult who is on the water either on the same craft or on different craft.
  4. Under 6’s must be accompanied by an adult on the same craft
  5. Weather Conditions – Sometimes the weather conditions may not be suitable for your session. In this instance, we will do our best to contact you before you arrive but there may be occasions when this is not possible. Our staff will make the final decision as to whether your session can go ahead. Please respect our staff's decision.



Requirements

Previous experience equivalent to RYA Junior Stage 2 or Start Windsurfing


Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.


A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival .


Buoyancy aids will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s)


What to bring

This activity takes place outdoors where you will be exposed to the elements. Please bring:

  1. Wetsuit (Unless you have pre booked one from us) or Warm Comfortable Clothing i.e. sportswear (ideally fast drying) - Please note from 1 November – 31 March wetsuits must be worn and are included in the price
  2. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops are not suitable.
  3. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); coat, sun hat / cream, a change of clothes and a towel.



What to bring

We provide:

  1. Buoyancy aids
  2. Helmets (for mega SUP)


Wetsuits are available to hire, £7.50. You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit.


Please bring:

  1. Appropriate footwear is compulsory (wetsuit boots/shoes/old trainers),
  2. Coat, sun hat / cream,
  3. A change of clothes and a towel.


We do not recommend taking valuable items such as phones or keys on the water.


Please note, participants cannot wear their own buoyancy aids.
