Public Slip & Slide Session – Blackwater, Cornwall

Session Information:

You are booking a 1-hour Public Slip & Slide Session at our 426.5ft Slip and Slide in Blackwater, Cornwall (off the A30, near Truro). The session price includes the use of both single and double rings and where available, bodyboards. Spectators may attend free of charge—only participants (Sliders) need to pay.

Important Notes:

1. Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session for check-in, changing, and the mandatory safety briefing. Participation will not be allowed without attending this briefing.
2. Session Timing: The final slide will be called after 50 minutes to ensure punctuality for the following session.
3. Traffic & Travel: Allow additional time for summer traffic as we cannot be held responsible for delays.

Dogs

We’re dog lovers too — and well-behaved dogs are welcome under the following conditions:

1. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.
2. Bring plenty of water for them — it can get hot out there.
3. Dogs are not allowed near the slide or tubing areas under any circumstances.
4. Please keep to the spectator area only.
5. Growling, yapping, or barking dogs will be asked to return to the car.
6. Clean up after your dog and take waste home with you – do not use our bins.
7. If your dog is excitable or hard to control, please consider leaving them at home.

We cater for all visitors, and some children — for one reason or another — may be nervous or frightened around dogs. For this reason, we ask all owners to strictly follow the rules above.

Exclusive Use

We do not offer exclusive use of the Slip & Slide in August. However, limited availability for large groups (80+ people) in July may be possible. For more information, please email info@borneevents.com and contact Clare.

Birthday Parties

We welcome you to celebrate your birthday with us. Although we do not offer exclusive sessions, you can join a public session by following the standard booking procedure.

Weather & Safety

1. The facility remains operational in the rain—participants will get wet regardless.
2. Operations will cease in the event of strong winds, thunder, or lightning.
3. If we need to pause or close the slide due to weather, it will be done for safety reasons, sometimes at short notice.
4. Check our Facebook page or answerphone before traveling as weather conditions may vary from your location.
5. If we cancel your session, you will receive an email to reschedule or request a refund.
6. If no cancellation communication is received, assume your session will proceed as scheduled and travel to the site accordingly.

Cancellation policy

Participant Requirements:

1. All participants must be 4 years old and over.
2. All participants must be confident in and around water.
3. Children aged 17 years and under must be always supervised by an adult whilst on site.
4. All ‘Sliders’ need to be able to walk up a staircase or have personal assistance to help access the slide.

Site Regulations:

1. Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome on site. Please keep them on a lead and clean up any mess.
2. Picnics are welcome, but please take all your litter home.
3. We do not allow smoking, vaping, or alcohol on site.

Clothing:

1. You can wear any bathing, beach, or sportswear item as long as they don’t have any exposed rivets, studs, or zips.

Footwear:

1. You must wear non-slip foot covering on the slide. Grip socks, trampolining socks, beach/wet shoes, or wetsuit boots are permitted. We do not permit trainers, tennis shoes, or any other type of footwear except the aforementioned types.

Eyewear:

1. Eyewear is only worn at your own risk. If you need to use them to see, we insist they are secured with a glasses band. We cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, or injury.

Safety Advisory:

1. Please note there is a risk of friction burns, so we advise all riders to cover up exposed skin (except swim shoes and wetsuit boots).
2. All jewellery must be removed, and earrings covered with a waterproof plaster.

Session Protocol:

1. 10 minutes before the start of any session, there will be a safety brief.
2. The last slide is called 10 minutes before the session completes to ensure the next session starts on time.
