Embark on an exhilarating 1 Hour of watery adventure
Session Information
Get ready for the slide of your life!
You’re booking a 1-hour Public Slip and Slide session (including your safety briefing) on our legendary 426.5ft slide in Blackwater, Cornwall, just off the A30 near Mitchell and Webber between Truro and Newquay.
Your session includes a mandatory safety briefing 10 minutes before your allocated session time, so please ensure you arrive on site at least 20 minutes before your session starts to allow time for check-in, wristbands, storing belongings and getting ready for your briefing.
Your ticket includes use of our single and double rings plus bodyboards where available.
Spectators are always free and only those sliding require a ticket, so bring the whole crew along and let them watch the chaos unfold 🤙
To keep things running smoothly, the final slide call will be made 10 minutes before the end of the session.
When Booking:
We’ve made booking as simple as possible, promise. Just a few handy tips before you hit confirm:
Groups of 15 or More:
Got a big group? We'd love to have you. Just drop us an email at info@megaslipandslide.com and we'll help you plan everything properly. We love organising a big group booking and are happy to make it as easy as possible for you.
Food and Drink:
We have a food van on site serving hot and cold drinks, crisps, chocolates, ice lollies and pot noodles, so you won't go hungry or thirsty.
Carer Passes:
We offer free Carer Passes to registered carers. Make your booking for as usual but dont book in the carer, instead, send the confirmation confirmation of your booking to info@megaslipandslide.com and we will issue the Carer's pass
Dogs:
All dogs must be always kept on a lead and are only permitted in the seating area. They must not be taken to the slide, walkways, launch tower or changing rooms.
All participants must be:
Clothing
You may wear any clothing you don't mind getting wet (most people wear swimsuits). However, items must not have exposed zips, buttons, sharp edges, studs or rivets. Wetsuits are permitted but zips must be positioned on the back of the suit and fully covered.
Please note there is a slight risk of friction burns, so we recommend covering exposed skin. You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit or hire one from us for £4.00 per suit, plus a returnable deposit.
A wetsuit is required if you wish to body slide without a ring or board.
Hats
are not permitted unless safely secured with a toggle.
Footwear
Must be worn. Wetsuit boots, beach shoes or grip socks are the only approved footwear on the slide as these provide the necessary grip. Trainers and all other footwear are not permitted. Grip socks are available to purchase on site for £2.00 per pair in small, medium and large if required. You are more than welcome to bring your own.
Jewellery & Glasses
All jewellery must be removed or securely covered with a waterproof plaster.
Glasses
must be secured to your head using a strap and are worn at your own risk.
As soon as you arrive, you'll park up and head over to Reception. Check in, get your wristband on and wait for your saety talk (we run through a short safety chat so everyone knows the drill).
Then you climb to the top.
Pick your lane. Look down. And go.
Launch on a single ring. Double up and race side by side. Grab a bodyboard and send it. Body slide in your wetsuit. Go head to head with someone next to you, or chase your own best run.
Whether you are riding solo or part of a group, our team are on site to keep things flowing and make sure your session is epic.
Switch lanes. Try a different ride style. Push for a faster run. Laugh all the way back up and go again.
