Session Information

Get ready for the slide of your life!

You're booking a 1-hour Public Slip and Slide session on our legendary 426.5ft slide in Blackwater, Cornwall, just off the A30 near Mitchell and Webber, between Truro and Newquay.

Your ticket includes use of our single and double rings, plus bodyboards where available. Spectators are always free and only those sliding need a ticket. So, bring the whole crew and let them watch the fun unfold.

When Booking:

We’ve made booking as simple as possible, promise. Just a few handy tips before you hit confirm:

1. Double-check your date and session time. It's easy to click the wrong one, so give it a quick look before you pay.
2. Booking with friends? Make sure there's still availability in your session before they book separately.
3. Use the right email address. Your confirmation and all the info you need for your visit will go straight there, so type it carefully.

If your screen freezes at checkout, please don't book again straight away. Check your bank first. If the payment has gone through, your booking is already safely in our system. Give us a shout if you're unsure.

Group Bookings and Exclusive Use

Groups of 15 or More: Got a big group? We'd love to have you. Just drop us an email at info@megaslipandslide.com and we'll help you plan everything properly. We love organising a big group booking and are happy to make it as easy as possible for you.

Birthday Groups of 11 or More Sliders: If you're celebrating a birthday and bringing 11 or more sliders, here's a little treat. The birthday child slides for free! This is arranged exclusively through Clare, so drop her an email at info@megaslipandslide.com to get it set up. These spots are popular and go quickly, so don't leave it too long.

Birthday Groups of Fewer Than 11: No worries at all. Just book onto one of our public sessions through the normal process and come and celebrate with us. We'll make it special.

Exclusive Use: We don't offer exclusive use during peak August dates as we want everyone to share the fun. However, if you have a group of 40 or more, limited availability may be possible outside of those peak dates. Get in touch with Clare at info@borneevents.com and she'll see what can be arranged.

Food and Drink:

We have a food van on site serving hot and cold drinks, crisps, chocolates, ice lollies and pot noodles, so you won't go hungry or thirsty! You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drink. We just ask one thing, to please take all your litter home with you. It keeps the field clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you.

SEND and Carer Passes:

We warmly welcome SEND community members and their families and we're proud to be a place where everyone can have an amazing time.

Our team will always do their best to help on the day. However, we're not able to provide one-to-one care or supervision, so anyone who needs dedicated support should attend with their own carer.

We also run dedicated SEND sessions with lower numbers and a calmer, more relaxed pace. Check our social pages and booking portal for upcoming dates.

Carer passes must be arranged in advance via our website. Please don't leave this until the day, as we may not be able to add carers on the spot if a session is full.

Dogs:

We love dogs, of course we do, but safety and comfort must come first.

Our site is close to busy roads and a loose dog could cause a serious accident. We also have children and adults who experience anxiety around dogs, so please be mindful of those around you.

All dogs must be always kept on a lead and are only permitted in the seating area. They must not be taken to the slide, walkways, launch tower or changing rooms.

If the weather is looking good, please don't leave your dog in the car. It's always best to leave them at home where they'll be safe and comfortable.

Weather and Safety:

We slide in the rain. You're going to get soaked anyway and that's the whole point! The only thing that stops us is strong winds or thunder and lightning, and any pause or closure will always be for your safety. These decisions can sometimes happen at short notice, so we recommend checking our Facebook page or calling our answerphone before you set off, especially if the weather looks uncertain. If we cancel, we'll email you straight away with options to reschedule or get a refund. If you haven't heard from us, travel to site as normal. We'll be there waiting for you.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

Before you book, please take a moment to read our cancellation and rescheduling policy. It's all laid out clearly so there are no surprises. We believe in being upfront about everything.

1. All participants must be 4 years old and over.
2. All participants must be confident in and around shallow water.

1. Children aged 17 years and under must be always supervised by an adult whilst on site.

1. All ‘Sliders’ need to be able to walk up a staircase or assistance to help access the slide.

1. Footwear: You must wear either wetsuit boots, beach shoes or grip socks, as these provide extra grip on the slide. Trainers and all other footwear are not permitted. Grip socks are available to purchase on site for £2.00 per pair (small, medium and large) if you forget or wish to purchase them from us.

1. Body Sliders (sliding without a board or ring) must wear a wetsuit.

Clothing

You may wear any clothing you do not mind getting wet (most people wear swimsuits). However, items must not have exposed zips, buttons, sharp edges, studs or rivets. Wetsuits are permitted, but zips must be positioned on the back of the suit and fully covered.

Please note there is a slight risk of friction burns, so we recommend covering exposed skin. You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit or hire one from us for £4.00 per suit, plus a returnable deposit.

A wetsuit is required if you wish to body slide without a ring or board.

Hats are not permitted unless secured with a toggle.

Jewellery & Glasses

All jewellery must be removed or securely covered with a waterproof plaster.

Glasses must be secured to your head using a strap and are worn at your own risk.

Arrival & check-in

Please arrive in good time,

the A30 is a very busy road, so allow plenty of time for traffic. We’ve got a large car parkon site. Park up, then head straight to Reception to check in.

No need to print anything we only need your name.

If you need them, you can buy grip socks or hire a wetsuit at reception before your session.

Facilities

We have changing areas on site (they’re modesty screens rather than fully secure changing rooms), plus toilets and a small catering trailer for snacks and drinks.

Valuables & keys

Please leave valuables in your car. We can hold your car keys for £1.00 (insurance purposes).

Wristbands & safety briefing

Once checked in, you’ll be given a wristband and called over for your safety briefing at the start of your session.

Session timing

To keep everything running smoothly, the last slide is called one hour from the start of the safety briefing — so you’ll still get loads of runs in, and the next session can start on time.
