Axe Throwing

Indulge yourself in one of the most satisfying and fastest growing target sports around – hurling axes at wooden targets! AGE 12+

1. half hour sessions under the guidance of an instructor so that you can learn in a controlled environment and perfect your technique in order to consistently have your axe stick in the target. Additional 30mins available!

1. Designed for those who have never thrown an axe before (it’s not the sort of thing you ever need to do in day to day life, after all) and suitable for all ability levels, we can cater for absolute beginners and those who’ve tried it a few times before at our purpose built range.

1. Our instructors will give you a full run through of the safest and most effective technique, and give you ongoing advice and tips to get you hitting the target. Axe-throwing is a great activity for challenging yourself as well as for some fun inter-family or friends competition.

Axe-throwing is a far less weather dependent activity than our sea-based options, and is a great stand-alone session as well as being something that you can still do if weather and sea conditions mean that your other plans have been cancelled.

How to find the range:

1. Find the wooden 'Polzeath Archery and Axe Throwing' sign on the drive through the golf course.
2. Park in the gravel car park by our other wooden sign.
3. Walk down the dirt track following the blue arrows for around 5 minutes to the range.

Minimum age 10

-Please tie long hair back.

-No open footwear.

-Bring a water bottle

-There are no bathrooms at the range so please use the club house before coming to the range.

You will release your inner Viking by learning how to consistently hit the targets in a safe and controlled area with a few trick shots added in for good measure.
