Arts/Health and Wellbeing

Description

Hello! My name is Grace Jandrell, and I am an artist and Arts and Health Practitioner based in Cardiff. I am also studying a masters in Arts, Health and Wellbeing at the University of South Wales. I would like to invite you to take part in an Arts and Health project to support my MA studies, supported by Welsh Water and The Friends of Cardiff Reservoirs.

My project is designed to reduce social isolation, strengthen connection to nature, and help people develop new skills to support their wellbeing. We will explore these things through walking in nature at Lisvane and Llanishen Reservoir, and creatively recording our journey through art. Through drawing, collage, paper folding and painting, we will create our own maps to explore what the reservoir means to you and how you can use it to improve your wellbeing. You don’t have to be good at art to do this- it’s more about building up a picture of the site and what it means to you.

If you feel you would like to strengthen your connection to nature, try some new artistic skills to promote your wellbeing, and help shape a meaningful community project, we have two workshop sessions available on:

Wednesday 25th August 10-12pm

Very well kept and maintained. No litter. Nice cafe. Free parking for 90 minutes. Lots of wildlife, many birds and insects to see. We have been twice now and still have much to explore.

A cracking place for a walk and a coffee. Peaceful and quiet yet convenient. 90 minutes of free parking. Plenty of disabled spaces and paths that are navigable by wheelchair (push or electric). Options for watersports ...

A great place for a walk and to recharge… I didn’t get a chance to try the coffee, but I really enjoyed the moment. It’s nice that the first 90 minutes of parking are free.
