  • sailing

  • 2 days

  • Max 3 people

This course aims to consolidate your basic knowledge of dinghy sailing

Description

Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Level 2 – Basic Skills

Discounts offered the more people that you book!

This course will cover rigging, launching, building confidence sailing dinghies in all directions, capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge. By the end of the course you will be capable of sailing a dinghy without an instructor onboard in light winds. This course does involve moving around the dinghy. If you have difficulty moving in small spaces, please consider our Keelboat sailing course instead. (This is a two day course)

This course is aimed at adults. We also offer youth sailing courses which can be booked separately.

Safety is our number one priority. If weather conditions are poor (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents occur, we reserve the right to restrict activity. Advance notice will be given where possible. However, sometimes decisions must be made at short notice. If we close for activities, we will contact all customers impacted to either reschedule or refund.

Requirements

Dinghy sailing skills to the standard of RYA Level 1 Start Sailing.

You do not need to have completed the RYA Level 1 course, however your dinghy sailing should be to that standard.
