  • Cold Water Dipping Induction - Required for attending Cold Water Dipping sessions

    Description

(Included in this you will get your first 5 cold water dips on our supervised sessions!)

Submerge yourself into the refreshing, exhilarating world of cold water dipping!

Join us for an extensive, two-hour induction into this invigorating activity, followed by your first guided cold water dip. Conducted by our team of expert instructors, we will be covering essential topics including:

    1. Safety
    2. Health benefits
    3. Best practices
    4. Suitable equipment

You'll come to understand the mental and physical challenges involved, and the fantastic wellbeing benefits one can gain from routine cold water immersion. Upon completion of the induction, you will be able to access Cold Water Dipping sessions at Llandegfedd and our other Welsh Water Visitor Attraction sites.

Age restrictions note: The minimum age for this activity is 12 years.

    1. 12yrs - 15yrs are able to attend, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+ participating in the same session.
    2. 16-17year olds can attend, provided that a responsible adult aged 18+ is on site, but not necessarily participating in the session.
    3. Please note - children will need to consider the time in the water may be less than an adult and be closely monitored by their accompanying adult for comfortability.

    Weather:

Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents we reserve the right to restrict water access to particular user groups, restrict the area available for activities, cancel sessions or close the lake. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible; however sometimes decisions need to be made at short notice. If we close the lake, we will add a message to our website and endeavour to contact all customers impacted to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund.

We spent an hour there recently - in the car park - just sitting quietly - enjoying the peace and tranquility of the scenery on a lovely sunny afternoon, while enjoying our sandwiches and juice!
