Description
Enjoy a fully lifeguarded open water splash session in beautiful surroundings.
Our 30 minute splash session enables participants from the age 5yrs* upwards to enjoy a splash/swim in a small designated area of the lake.
Our sessions will run when the water temperature is 18 degrees or warmer.
Participant age rules are below:
- Participants aged between 5-7yr old they must be with a responsible adult (age 18+) and the ratio is 1 ADULT : 1 CHILD
- Participants aged between 8yr - 13yrs old must be with a responsible adult (age 18+) and the ratio is 1 ADULT : 2 CHILDREN
- Participants aged 14 - 17yrs can attend a session without an adult in the water but must have a responsible adult aged 18yrs on site
Buoyancy aid rules are:
- All participants are advised to wear a buoyancy aid.
- All participants under the age of 14yrs MUST wear a buoyancy aid / lifejacket for 5-7yr olds.
- All those who consider themselves a non-swimmer or weak swimmer MUST acknowledge this in the question pack and wear a buoyancy aid [provided by us as part of your entry fee] OR if deemed by the lifeguard team to fall within this category must abide by the rules and accept the wearing of a buoyancy aid to continue participating in the session.
Our lifeguard team are on hand to keep you safe during your splash session. Swimmers must remember that water temperature and weather / wind can affect duration spent in the water. Swimmer ability can be impeded by water temperature / duration and each person has their own limits; our team will actively advise swimmers if they feel swimmer ability/comfort is being impeded.
Those attending the splash session must wear suitable footwear whilst in the water, wetsuits are optional but can be hired from us.
NB: Please note there could be a short walk to the start of the swim course
Weather:
Safety is our number one priority. If weather conditions are poor (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents occur, we reserve the right to restrict activity. Advance notice will be given where possible. However, sometimes decisions must be made at short notice. If we close for activities, we will contact all customers impacted to either reschedule or refund.
