Immerse yourself in the sonic delights of birdsong!
We have a fantastic free event open to members of the public as part of our Heritage Lottery funded TWIG (The Woodland Investment Grant) Project.
To celebrate our beautiful woodlands and International Dawn Chorus Day, Andy Karen (Gwent Wildlife Trust) and the Ranger Team will be leading an early morning 2 hour walk through our woodlands, where you can immerse yourselves in the sonic delights of birdsong.
Enjoy the beauty of the reservoir and woodlands while learning all about our breeding and migratory bird species.
Please arrive 10-15minutes before the event start time.
The session is weather dependent and may be cancelled if unpleasant weather is anticipated.
This event is not accessible to all, as the trails are uneven and muddy in places. Suitable footwear (walking boots) must be worn. Not wheelchair accessible.

Such a beautiful place! We stopped here for a coffee so didn’t try the food, though it did look amazing! I will definitely be back with my dogs and spend a bit longer here
