Adult Learn to Wing Surf

• Learn to fly the wing on land before taking to the water
• Practise wing control on a large windsurf board with a daggerboard
• Build board balance as you travel across the wind and steer
• Try a gybe and return to your starting point

A half-day session

Suitable for complete beginners or those with a little previous experience.

This session will start with learning to fly the wing on the land and then progressing onto wing surfing (using the wing on a large windsurf board with a daggerboard). Together these sessions provide the fundamentals of wing control, translating its power into forward momentum and steering, whilst reinforcing the core skills of board balance to enable you to travel across the wind a short distance, gybe and return to starting point.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. sessions are wind dependent, if conditions are not suitable we will get in touch to rearrange or refund if another date is not possible
2. footwear is mandatory (ideally wetsuits boots/shoes or old trainers will do)
3. Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets provided
4. Minimum age 17

Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.

A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival

Buoyancy aids/ impact vests and helmets will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)

1. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.
2. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes and a towel.
3. Wetsuits can be provided for no additional charge or you can bring your own.
