We will meet at Boroughbridge Marina carpark. Here you will be given a safety brief and provided with the equipment listed below. There are toilet facilities at this car park. From Boroughbridge Marnia we will provide transport to Ripon where our paddle begins. The trip will be 11k in length and takes approximately 3:30-4:30 hours.
The SUP adventure starts on the picturesque canal in Ripon. A few kilometers into our paddle, after passing through a couple of locks, we will take a break at the beautifully kept Oxclose Lock. Snacks eaten and batteries charged, it's onto the meandering river Ure. You will find yourself gently gliding down the wide, slow-moving river with the sounds of the water and birds to keep you company. Look out for riverside wildlife such as kingfishers, herons, and lots more. Soon we will pass the grand gardens of Newby Hall and our halfway point at Westwick Lock. The river journey then continues all the way down to the pretty town of Boroughbridge where we finish at our original meet point, the Marina Carpark.
