BSUPA Level 1 SUP Instructor Course

This two day course which is open to all Paddleboarders who are BSUPA members and of a suitable paddling ability (outlined below). The aim of this course is to produce good, competent, keen and professional paddle board instructors, it focuses on the BSUPA ready to ride teaching Scheme, along with how to teach, run a session, control groups on the water and feedback constructively.

Prerequisites

1. Current member of BSUPA (join here)
2. Minimum age 18
3. Valid First Aid qualification (not required prior to commencement of the course but BSUPA certificate will not be issued until evidence of a first aid qualification is submitted - also available to book with us here)
4. Riding ability, competent on a range of boards – be able to demo-short paddle strokes, step back and reverse paddle turns- board 360s body 360s foot and paddle steering, basics push turns and paddle boarding in reverse
5. Minimum 40 hours SUP experience before course
