Learn to ski in a day

Description

This course is designed for beginners to get you up-and-running for your upcoming ski holiday. You will be taught all the necessary basics, equipped with skis and boots, and then will have a few hours of instruction on our slope, working closely with your instructors. Groups are restricted to small sizes so that you get the maximum from your time on the slope.

By the end of the lesson, you will hopefully be ready to confidently tackle green and blue runs on your holiday and maybe even go for a red run!

A couple of short refreshment breaks will occur during the session, but we cannot cater other than tea and coffee, so please bring snacks/refreshments and something to drink.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This session requires a minimum of two people to run. If only one person books, the session will be cancelled then we will offer a refund or ideally try to move you to a session that is running. Please remember we are only a small non-profit club run by volunteers.

What to bring

  1. Bring your own gloves
  2. Wear long-sleeved top and long trousers to protect from scratching. Thin leggings do not protect well and are not suitable
  3. Skis, boots and helmets are provided
  4. Bring your own food and beverages

Itinerary

  1. Ski kit allocation will begin at session start time
  2. Individuals will spend 3.5–4 hours on the slope under instruction
  3. Short breaks for refreshments will be taken
  4. Coffee and tea are available at the slope, but we have no catering facilities, so you will need to bring your own food and drinks.
  5. Individuals will have time to get changed and kitted up either side of the session
