RYA Start Sailing Level 1 Course

The RYA Start sailing Level 1 is one of our most popular courses.

This is for adults and children, with a ration of 1:6.

During the 2 day course you'll learn the theory, land drills and then put that into practice on the water. This course is mostly on the water. By the end of the two days you'll be able to sail around a triangular course using all the points of sail as well as a small amount of theory.

The RYA recommends following this course up with the RYA Level 2 Basic skills, most centres require the level 2 to hire a dinghy.

Ages 7+

No previous sailing experience required.

1. A change of clothes.
2. Lunch or money to buy lunch at a local cafe/shop.
3. Children must be collected at lunch time. Usually 12:30-1:30. 
4. Suitable clothing for weather
