Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course

Minimum age 16 and upwards.

The course is intended for all paddlers, coaches and volunteers, irrespective of craft or discipline choice, it is boat-based.

It provides training on key skills needed to operate safely and deal with common emergencies in a sheltered water environment. These skills then form the foundations for safety and rescue throughout the British Canoeing Awarding Body awards.

There are no prerequisites for the course.

The learning day is 7 hours.

If you have your own Buoyancy Aid, wetsuit and boots, please bring them. The centre will supply these but having your own is recommended so you are comfortable.

It is likely that the water will be cold so please bear that in mind.
