Youth Paddlesport Course

Our Youth Paddlesport Sessions here at Whiteadder Watersports Centre provides young watersport enthusiasts the chance to get out on the water with friends in a fun, safe and structured environment.

The activity will either be kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or working together as a team on the mega SUP! The activity will be subject to weather conditions so we can ensure participants get the most out of the session.

These sessions help participants to build water confidence and supports development of good paddle techniques.

This course include 3 paddlesport sessions. Please see the dates below for the course:

Minimum age: 8 years old

Required experience: None

Please bring with you:

1. A wetsuit (if you have your own one, otherwise we will provide you one)
2. Swimwear (for under your wetsuit which we provide)
3. Thermal rash vest (for cooler days to wear under your wetsuit)
4. Fleece (for cold days where we don't plan on falling in, to wear over your wetsuit)
5. Spare change of clothes (e.g. board shorts and active top for warmer days)
6. Closed toe footwear (that you don’t mind getting wet, just in case our boots don’t fit you)
7. Cap & sunscreen (for warmer days)
8. Woolly hat (for cooler days)
9. A towel
10. Food and water bottle (appropriate for the duration of the session)
11. A separate bag (for wet and dirty things)
12. Any personal medication (e.g. inhaler)

Please also note the below:

1. We have pogies available to help keep your hands warm
2. We would advise all jewellery is removed
3. Long hair should be tied back
4. Any cuts of grazes should be covered with waterproof dressings
