Can’t swim more than a few strokes of freestyle without gasping for breath?

Want to swim for fitness but fancy a change from breaststroke?

Would like to do a triathlon or swim event but want to freestyle it?

This 5 day intensive course is specifically designed for those Breaststrokers who wish to learn the Front Crawl stroke in a pool environment, which can then be transferred to the open water.

    When & Where?

Starting on Monday 2nd June - Friday 6th June (9-10am) at Trewan Hall Campsite, St Columb TR9 6DB. Onsite camping is available, click here for more details.

    What does it include?

Breathing, body position and balance provide the fundamental basis to even elite freestyle swimmers but even more so when you’re a beginner. In addition to these principles, we will cover the basic mechanics of effective propulsion.

Every day we will be covering different elements of the stroke with the use of drills, practice and lots of rest in between. Swimmers will need goggles and ideally a pair of swim fins as these will assist in your progression. Click here for examples. Toilets, parking and changing facilities are available onsite.

    Who is this suitable for?

Front crawl beginners or anyone struggling to swim up to 25m comfortable frontcrawl. You do need to be able to swim 25m (breaststroke or any other stroke) without stopping. You will also need to be comfortable swimming out of your depth in a pool and be willing to try and put your face in the water.

Invest in your swimming journey and book your session today. Take the first step towards becoming a better, more confident swimmer.
