Join our community, meet paddle buddies and have outdoorsy adventures!
This two hour guided tour sets off from Crookham Wharf, where you'll find a free carpark and picnic area.
We’ll start with some basic safety and equipment information, then some basic instruction to ensure you can launch bankside, forward paddle, turn, stop and stand up.
We'll take in some beautiful canal side properties, rural countryside and navigate a fun yet achievable low limbo swing bridge, then pause for refreshments at Fox & Hounds Pub (bring money or card!) before returning back to shore.
Who is this trip for?
Beginner to intermediate.
This is a beginner friendly tour starting with an on land briefing, followed by a short refresher lesson to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on their board. With easy launching, sheltered waters, and no portaging we should be in for an easy ride.

FAQ’S
🩹 The quality of our local waterways is something to always be aware of and it’s important to do your own research regarding this. When paddle boarding with us we ask that you cover up any minor cuts and abrasions, and to wash once you are home if you fall/swim in the river, this is to reduce the risk of disease such as weil's disease. PaddleSUP strongly recommends not to participate in paddling if I have any open wounds, and instead to reschedule.
What to wear: Weather appropriate clothing for SUP, quick drying active wear / wetsuit & shoes you don't mind getting wet.
Everyone to bring the following; Plenty of bottled water, sun cream, hat, waterproofs, snacks, change of clothes, towel & any medication eg inhaler.
If you're providing your own kit please bring the following: A pre-cleaned SUP, paddle, buoyancy aid / PFD, waist leash, drybag with change of clothes. Please ensure you are on site 30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure you have enough time to inflate and set up your board.
Equipment hire: We have spare kit, if there's something you're missing you can select it as an add on. Please select this in the booking process. Full kit hire is also available as an add on. Please message if unsure.
