Middle of River Hamble Tour

Explore the mid section of the River Hamble to gain experience navigating Marina's, wider waterways and tidal assisted flow on sheltered water.

This tour is for improving/intermediate paddlers rather than beginners.

We'll meet at Swanwick Shore Car Park at 1pm for board inflating ready to be on the water for 13:30. Please note this is a pay and display carpark, so you will need to bring money/car or use an app. While the carpark has 31 spaces, it does also get very busy on good weather days at the weekend, so please car share where possible and give yourself plenty of time to park if you can.

We'll initially safely cross the marina, navigating past boats onto the main part of the river, then set off for a tide assisted paddle up the Hamble River past Manor Farm Country Park stopping off at Floaters Boat Cafe for refreshments.

Once we've finished lunch/snacks/drinks/ice cream we will continue our journey, stopping for some rest breaks and fun on the river while the tide changes direction ready for a nice tide assisted paddle back.

Please note as this is moving water, QR waist Belts and traditional body worn PFD is required for this paddle. If you do not have one, please let us know and we can plan equipment accordingly

Very limited board hire available at an additional charge on the next page.

Must be able to swim 50m

Competent Paddleboarding experience

Able to self rescue without assistance.
