River Mole SUP Safari Tour

THE ROUTE: River Mole

A SUP trip on the River Mole. We'll first paddle downstream to marvel at the beautiful riverside houses and the stunning Wayneflete Tower before heading back upstream for a rural adventure. Pace and distance of the paddle will be determined by group participants and river conditions - this stretch of The Mole is unmanaged and there are sometimes fallen trees & other blockages.

This very rural adventure paddle feels more like you're paddling through the jungle than Esher & Hersham! Kingfishers and Herons are often spotted here, so keep your eyes peeled for a rare treat from nature!

This tour is for intermediate paddlers due to moving water with possible obstacles and submerged debris (river fins can be handy but not essential) -

BA, QR belt and full change of clothes in a dry bag are essential. There will be portages & get outs, but also a real feel of off the public track adventure!

Who is this trip for?

Intermediate - Confident Paddlers.

This water has flow and there will be portages, but the views, scenary and thrill of adventure are worth it.

FAQ’S

1. Can I come solo? Absolutely, your future friends are waiting for you.
2. Do I need my own kit? You are welcome to join our SUP river trips with your own paddle board and equipment, or hire ours. If bringing your own equipment, please ensure you are on location at least 30 mins before the start time to set up and be ready for the safety briefing.
3. There are no food outlets available during the trip, so please bring food and drink with you. Although there is often a cafe van in the carpark.
4. Accessible toilet available in the car park.

What to wear: Weather appropriate clothing for SUP, quick drying active wear / wetsuit & shoes you don't mind getting wet.

Everyone to bring the following; Plenty of bottled water, sun cream, hat, waterproofs, snacks, change of clothes, towel & any medication eg inhaler.

Footwear is a must for the walk from the car park to the river

If you're using your own kit please arrive AT LEAST 40 MINUTES BEFORE THE START TIME, ensure your board and equipment have been cleaned and checked since you last used it and bring the following with you: SUP, paddle, buoyancy aid Quick release waist leash, drybag with change of clothes.

Equipment hire: We have spare kit, if there's something you're missing you can select it as an add on. Please select this in the booking process.

Must be confident at portaging on and off the water and carrying your board.

Must be able to control your board around potential obstacles

Able to swim a minimum of 50 meters

Able to self rescue

Quick dry, lightweight comfortable sportswear type clothing.

Windproof/waterproof layer if weather is not warm/sunny.

Neoprene Boots/Beach Shoes or soft soled footwear like trainers/plimsoles that you don't mind getting wet.

Drink/snacks for the rest break.

Towel & a change of clothes for afterwards.
