Sit on Top Kayak Hire

Sit-on-top Kayak hire is available between 10am - 5pm (except Mondays & Fridays between Sept - Mar). A family friendly, no-impact activity, suitable for all abilities. Taking out a sit on top kayak is perfect way to explore the reservoir at your own pace and soak up some rays this summer! These boats are perfect if you are looking for a versatile activity which is fun for all ages.

Our double kayaks (two-person) are a great way to team up in pairs for a session on the water. We also highly recommend this boat for children under 9 who cannot have their own kayak, as they can be easily accompanied by an 18+.

PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINS PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME HAVING COMPLETED ALL YOUR DISCLAIMERS.

Terms of Use

Under 16's must be accompanied on the water by an 18+ at all times.

The ratio of under 16’s to 18+ is 6:1.

Under 9's cannot use a single kayak, they must be accompanied on a double kayak by an 18+.

Age 16 and over may go on the water unattended, but an over 18 must be on site. 16 and 17 cannot supervise younger children.

Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. Please note there is a small booking fee.

You should have a basic knowledge of kayaking and be able to get back into a kayak from the water.

To assist us in getting you on the water on time and to enjoy your full session, please arrive 15 minutes early having completed all of the disclaimers.

All over 18s must complete a disclaimer.

1. Clothes you do not mind getting wet!
2. A towel
3. Closed toe footwear is a must.
4. A pound coin if you wish to use our lockers
5. A watch or device to know when to return to us.
6. A phone or device and waterproof case, in case of emergency.
