Find Your Flow on the Slaney: Learn to Kayak Course

Description

There is something transformative about being on the water. It’s the sound of the paddle dipping into the Slaney, the laughter when someone (inevitably) spins in a circle, and that sudden "click" when you realize you’re actually doing it.

At GoPaddle.ie, we don’t do stuffy, rigid lessons. We do adventures.

From retirees to restless adventurers, our 6-week course is designed to take you from total novice to a confident, Level 1 Skills paddler.

“If I can do this, anyone can!”

"I was spinning and struggling... yet I was able to plow on! A memorable experience with a humorous teacher and a fount of local knowledge. There is nothing better on a sunny afternoon."

Our instructors, like David and Susan, are famous for their "long-suffering patience" and their ability to turn a nervous beginner into a relaxed explorer. We listen, we demonstrate, and most importantly, we make sure you leave every session with a smile (and maybe a few belly laughs too).

The Journey

Over six Tuesday evenings, you’ll move from the basics of equipment to mastering both Sit-on-Top and Sit-in kayaks. We’ll finish with a stunning, scenic trip up the Slaney to the hidden beauty of the River Boro.

An amazing experience with Sue as usual. She pushes your boundaries a lot but somehow makes you feel as if you are in your comfort zone by gradually moving towards bigger challenges. Will definitely be booking again
