Description
Come and explore the inner basins of Salford Quays and enjoy an instructor-led paddle tour.
You will paddle your own canoe, either solo or tandem (two people in one canoe) then onto a gentle paddle around the different inner basins.
Rules:
- Supervision of children on the water and in the centre is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
- Anyone who is under the influence of alcohol, or we suspect to be, will not be allowed on the water and no refunds given.
- Users must be willing to comply with all safety regulations and make themselves aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices.
- Spectators must wait outside of our gated area, no one is to enter past the gates without Buoyance Aids.
- Safety is of paramount importance to us at Salford Watersports Centre, anyone that compromises the safety of our clients and team will be asked to leave immediately
- There is a zero-tolerance policy in operation with regard to abuse, verbal or otherwise towards staff or other users.
- You must complete all forms / questionnaires. You must ensure that you or anyone who you have booked for has filled in the relevant documents prior to arrival. Failure to do so will result in a delay getting on the water as we will need to prioritise the other customers to get them on the water in time.
- If you are late or miss the session, no refunds will be made. The tour will start at the start time.
- We’ll arrive back at the start a few minutes before the end to safely exit the boats, please wait in your boat until you’re told to leave.
- Please zip & hang buoyance aids up on the rail provided in the centre.
Canoe sessions is designed to be a ‘Dry’ session, this means that we do not anticipate the boat to capsize due to the design of the boat and our operations, however we cannot 100% rule this out, in the unlikely event of this happening, please be assured that our team are well prepared and trained to deal with these situations, everyone will be wearing a buoyance aid which keeps you afloat. Please ensure you follow instructions at all times and only enter the slipway / pontoons when advised to.
Please note the cancellation notice for this session is strictly 72hrs - after this no refunds will be made. You must request a refund through your booking information AND Email watersportscentre@scll.co.uk to request a refund.

What to bring
- Warm clothing and waterproofs in case it rains.
- Wetsuit hire is available £4
- Shoes/wellies that can get wet
- We provide buoyancy aids that must be kept on at all times. We also provide helmets for anyone aged under the age of 17
- We have lockers that are available to use. They take a £1 coin (returnable), please note we are operating with very limited cash, so we do not have change.
- Any loose items should not be taken on to the water, if you wear glasses, we recommend wearing a glasses strap to ensure. SWC cannot be held responsible for any damages/loss.
