Description
Join Us for a Night Paddle on Salford Quays!
Experience Salford Quays under the city lights every Thursday evening! Bring your glow sticks, head torches, and neon gear, and join us for a night paddle that showcases the Quays at their most magical.
Details:
- Craft Options: Single-person Kayaks are available for all skill levels, including beginners. If you’d prefer a drier experience or don’t want to paddle solo, you can book a spot in a rafted canoe to share the adventure with others. Please see separate product. Sups are available for experienced Paddlers.
- Age Requirement: Minimum age is 17 years. Rafted Canoes welcome youths.
What to Bring:
- Equipment: We provide buoyancy aids (which must be worn at all times) and helmets for anyone under 17. Kayaks, rafted canoes, and paddles are all included.
- Clothing: Wetsuits are highly recommended (available to hire for £4), but if you don’t have one, wear waterproof or warm clothing that’s easy to move in—tracksuit bottoms, leggings, and hoodies are suitable. The seat area on the kayak can sometimes get a little wet so please bear this in mind. Prepare for the possibility of getting wet! Layers like hats and gloves are also a good idea, and please wear shoes that can get wet.
- Essentials: Bring a £1 coin if you’d like to use our lockers. If you wear glasses, a strap is advisable to prevent loss. Lights, glow sticks, and head torches are all welcome!
- Valuables: We recommend leaving valuables behind. If you bring a phone for photos, please secure it with a waterproof lanyard or pouch. Our staff will take photos too, but we’re not liable for lost or damaged items.
Safety Notes: While we aim to stay dry, there’s a chance you could get wet. In the event of a fall into the water, your buoyancy aid will keep you afloat, and our trained staff will assist. Stay calm, follow their instructions, and enjoy the experience.
Whether you’re looking for a solo paddle or a group experience in the rafted canoe, we look forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable night on the water!
