  • Perfect your breaststroke technique.

    Description

Breaststroke - it's time to make it great again! Often learned in childhood and then overlooked, this versatile stroke is your secret weapon for year-round open water swimming. As we approach the colder months, our 45-minute Breaststroke Workshop aims to help you rediscover and refine this essential technique. By perfecting your breaststroke, you'll be better equipped to enjoy and excel in open water swimming throughout the winter season.

This session caters to both "head-in" and "head-up" breaststroke swimmers aiming to enhance their cold water performance. Whether you're seeking to improve efficiency, increase speed, or simply feel more comfortable as temperatures drop, this workshop offers valuable insights and practice.

    What You'll Learn:

    1. Technique Refinement: Focus on key aspects of your stroke, including arm and leg movements, breathing techniques, and timing - all adapted for colder water.
    2. Efficiency and Speed: Discover methods to swim more efficiently, conserving energy while potentially increasing your speed in chilly conditions.
    3. Personalised Feedback: Receive individual guidance to fine-tune your technique and build confidence for cold water swimming.

    Session Details:

    1. Duration: 45 minutes
    2. Instructor: Certified Open Water Coach and Level 2 Swimming Teacher
    3. Location: Salford Watersports Centre
    4. Cost: £11 per person

Prerequisites: Participants should have open water swimming experience and be comfortable swimming at least 200 metres breaststroke.

Who Should Attend: This workshop is ideal for swimmers familiar with open water environments who want to adapt their breaststroke technique for autumn and winter swimming. It's perfect for those looking to diversify their cold water swimming skills and embrace the invigorating challenge of the season.

Recently did the Powerboat Level 2, two days course here. The course structure was great, spending the majority of the time in the boat rather than the classroom yet thoroughly covering everything. Jimmy, the instructor ...
