BSUPA Level 2 instructor course

Every BSUPA recognised School requires a level 2 instructor as the principle/ manager in charge of SUP operations.

The course is designed to teach and inform experienced instructors about the next level of instruction, taking ready to ride level 1 paddlers away from your base location on simple and intermediate tours to explore the wonderful environments our rivers and coastlines offer and even into small surf environments using mega SUP’s.

It also covers some more theoretical and business related elements such as employing staff, safety management systems and running schools.

Depending on individual skill/competency level you can also be endorsed at level 2 as 'Ready to';

1. Surf
2. Race
3. Tour
4. Manage a school

1. Valid BSUPA membership
2. Current valid BSUPA Level 1 instructor
3. 100 hours logged teaching hours in a BSUPA recognised school
4. Hold a valid First aid
5. RYA Powerboat L2 license
6. Have valid qualifications and be operating within the guidelines of the BSUPA scheme.

You will need to bring suitable waterwear; wetsuits etc. You are welcome to bring any of your own SUP equipment you own, however a board and paddle will be provided.

Please also bring a notepad and pen for all classroom based theory.
