- knows how to set up the foil assist unit
- Know how to safely carry the board and enter and exit the water
- Know how to operate the board & controller
- Sustained flight on the foil,
- Self-rescue paddle the board (unpowered) for 200m
- Knows the operational boundaries and safety area
