Paddling trip to explore southern Coniston (ASC Members only)
Club Members only
A guided paddle board river trip on the southern end of Coniston and the river Crake. A relatively easy lake trip, although not for beginners, paddle boarders need to be able to self rescue and move about on a board.
The trip begins at Brown Howe Car park and then heads across the Lake towards the eastern shore. Once we have explored an island in the Lake we head down to the river Crake for a short paddle down the river before heading back. Total distance will be about 5km and take 2.5 - 3 hours.
Available to ASC members only.
Due to the nice weather forecast and potential pressures on car parking at Brown Howe car park, the plan is to start at 08:30am. If parking spaces are not available we will move to the north end of Coniston.
Car Parking charges will apply and are not included.
There is a £5 discount for using your own Board please select the Add on when booking.
The trip will only run if the conditions are suitable, so may be cancelled with limited notice.
