Paddle club trip along the River Lune at Halton

Description

This trip is for club members only and suitable for paddleboarders.

Some previous paddling experience is required.

This trip is planned to paddle from the old station at Halton down stream towards Skerton Weir and then return back to the old station.

There is a discount for Arnside Sailing Club members under Add Ons


Club Membership 2025

£80 individual, £90 family

(+£20 per annum per membership for using Arnside club dinghies outside training courses.)

Requirements

Must be a member of the sailing club to join this session.



Min age 12 with an accompanying parent.

Previous experience paddling.


What to bring

Usual paddling kit


Drink/ snacks


Spare fleece & jacket in case of getting cold/ weather turns bad


Please wear footwear due to the hazards of rocks in the river.


If using your own board/ kayak please send in a copy of insurance for your craft (to meet the club's insurance needs)


Paddleboarders can choose to wear a quick release belt with their leash or have no leash.

Played a gig at The Sailing Club in the Old Customs House. Lovely venue, lovely audience. Arnside itself very pretty area. Estuary beautiful but care needed when walking on sand, especially with animals...lots of ...
