Youth Water & Gorge Activity – 2 Days

Get ready for two days of adventure at Cardiff International White Water and beyond! This action-packed experience combines exciting water-based activities with an off-site gorge walking adventure, giving young people the chance to try new activities, develop their skills and build confidence along the way.

Day 1 includes a half-day of flatwater paddlesports followed by an Indoor Wave session, while Day 2 heads off-site to the scenic Neath Valley for a day of gorge walking.

Flat Water Paddlesports

Start the adventure on the water with a fun and active flatwater paddlesports session. Depending on the group and conditions, participants may have the opportunity to try sit-on-top kayaking, canoeing or stand up paddleboarding, developing their paddling skills, confidence and water awareness along the way. Our instructors will tailor the session to the group, ensuring everyone has an enjoyable introduction to flatwater paddlesports.

Indoor Wave

Our indoor wave machine at Cardiff International White Water offers a unique chance to learn how to surf and bodyboard in a safe, controlled environment.

Feel the rush of riding the FlowRider, our indoor wave simulator that creates an endless sheet of smooth water. It’s perfect for beginners as well as experienced riders looking for some extra time on the board.

Gorge Walking

Day two takes the adventure off-site to the scenic Neath Valley for an exciting gorge walking experience. Participants will scramble through rivers and streams, learning the skills and techniques needed to navigate the gorge before tackling steeper sections and plunge pools.

To make the most of the day and help avoid traffic, Day 2 starts at 9:00am. Full meeting and departure details will be provided by your instructor on Day 1.
