Have you dipped in the winter before, but this year have a challenge, or event in mind?
For anyome taking their winter swimming to another level, these weekly swims are there to help you convert your dips and short swims to slightly longer cold water experiences, slowly, cautiously, and in a risk managed way. The body goes through several adaptations as you start to cautiously explore cold water swimming in a loner way
For those who are swimming through the winter 'for' something, this group serves as a community, and a way to help you
This small group will be led by Jo for a swim with supervised re-warming after the swim.
You can pay week by week, but it is best to book monthly or for the whole season, with it being £50 per month, or £100 for 10 swims throughout the winter. (November to February)
She and her team will have the final say on swim times depending on temperature.
Jo has been an open water swimmer for over 20 years, swim teacher for just as long and cold water swimmer for 7 years. In 2020 she was the GB Champion for 500m in Ice Swimming, and has competed in local, National and World championship events, often medalling in her age group if not overall.
In 2019 she started coaching outdoors to share her love for, and knowledge of, the open water with as many people as possible.
