Description
Swim with Jo at Queenford Lakes TIME CHANGE 830-9:45
This will be a talk outlining the benfits, risks, considerations and preparations for cold water/winter swimming, a short swim and then supervised rewarming. In a small group I ensure a quiet, supportive environment and tailor the session to overcome any apprehension each individual may have.
Sessions will include
- Prepping your kit for getting out and getting changed quickly
- Getting into the water and cold water shock
- Adjusting to a short swim with Jo on hand to coach, support and guide you through the reactions your body has to cold water.
- Jo will outline signs to know when to get out, and point out how these feel in the water.
- Changing strategies.
- How to deal with afterdrop and ways to help rewarming
It is £20 per person which includes lake entry, and a warm beverage / snack afterwards as we guide you through rewarming after a swim.
