Accessible Cycling

There will be a fleet of approximately 20 bikes specially adapted for people with varying degrees of mobility or learning difficulties and mental health issues to experience cycling. As well as the bikes there be willing volunteers to support you to try out a variety of vehicles ensuring people have a positive and enjoyable experience. The fleet will include cycles with seats side-by-side, seats one in front of the other, those that can be operated by a wheelchair user, and also one with a platform on the front to carry someone in a wheelchair and others.

Please remember to bring your booking confirmation email with you to allow us to check you in.

There are a small number of parking spaces available in front of the track (4-6 dependent on vehicle size). Please press 'call' on the Sports Centre car park barrier on Thornhill Road for vehicle access. If these parking spaces have already been utilised then the main Sports Centre car park is the second best place to park.

Although there will be volunteers on the day, if you have individual specific mobility needs that you would be unhappy with a stranger helping with, we recommend you bring your own support.

Customers need to bring a water bottle and appropriate footwear. Helmets will be provided.
