Join us at CAG Adventures in the breathtaking Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park for an immersive Open Canoe Safety Week designed to boost your skills, confidence, and knowledge in canoeing safety. Each day blends expert coaching, practical exercises, and on-water scenarios tailored to your progress, ensuring you master key skills such as self-rescue, assisted rescue, navigation, and hazard awareness. Our experienced instructors, with over 30 years of combined expertise, will guide you through every step, ensuring you feel supported, challenged, and empowered. Set against the stunning landscapes of Killin and the surrounding waterways, your learning experience will be as inspiring as it is educational. By the end of the week, you'll have the confidence to handle diverse conditions safely and take your canoeing adventures to the next level. Requirements

This course is aimed at those who are paddling solo, but if you wish to paddle tandem you'll need to bring a partner with you.


You'll need to be comfortable paddling in grade 2 on the river and force 3/4 on the open water.

We're out learning for for a full day each day, you will need to bring;

  5. Boat*
  6. Paddles*
  7. Poles*
  8. Safety kit*


* we can supply all of this gear on request.


Itinerary

During the week we'll be spending time on the river and the loch, each day we'll evaluate the weather and water levels and go with the best option for the day.
